All actions performed within GifCam’s window are recorded and saved in a file format of your choice. You can either decrease or increase its size depending on what you wish to record. On opening GifCam, you’ll come across a program window that marks the area that you intend to capture. Since it is portable, you can even use GifCam on any Windows device via a USB drive. You can run the application the moment it is downloaded.
GifCam is an extremely lightweight software program and the entire file’s size is only 700KB. It’s quite handy for short demonstrations wherein screenshots or descriptions won’t be as clear. GifCam app, however, allows you to capture the steps you perform on your computer screen, lets you edit the speed of the animation, and provides direct sharing options. While a lot of software programs like Zoom, Teams, and Skype let you share your screen, they’re not as suitable for quick demonstrations.
You can even use the tool to edit local images and turn them into GIFs. It also provides additional features with which you can edit the animated image before saving it.
